September the 10th is closing in fast and the specs for Apple’s upcoming iPhone 11 range has seemingly leaked from some Chinese sources. These specifications seem to be in line with past leaks and speculation. However, we urge you to take this information at face value because we don’t have a sure-fire way to vouch for the validity of some of this information.
As expected, Apple will be launching three new iPhones this year. What is good to hear is that the company will be dropping the “R” monicker for its cheapest offering and will rather just call it the 11. The iPhone 11 will be priced similar to the XR but will offer quite a significant upgrade. For starters, the phone will abide by Wifi-6 standards and will offer reverse wireless charging. A dual-camera setup is also seen adorning the 11. With 3GB of RAM and the all-new A13 SoC onboard, the iPhone 11 will be no slouch compared to its older siblings. The absence of an AMOLED panel will be sorely missed, along with the inability to support the Apple Pencil.
iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max
Quite the mouthful, we agree. These phones will be the successors to the iPhone XS and XS Max that launched last year. Looking at the specs, we see no significant departure from the leaks we’ve been getting. Triple camera setup and frosted glass back along with Apple Pencil support for both, as a replacement to the 3D Touch (RIP). We’ll apparently be getting a wide-angle Face ID implementation to complement the 12MP selfie shooter that should work even when you have your phone propped on a table. Neat stuff!
The battery capacity on the iPhone 11 Pro Max seems to be quite promising. With a capacity of 3500 mAH, we believe Apple will be able to squeeze out quite a significant screen on time! Whenever we get our hands on the phone you can expect us to test these factors out in an in-depth fashion!
I guess all that’s left for us to do now is wait for the reckoning on the 10th of September. As and when we get new leaks, you can count on us on updating you on the same, right here at Techquila!
