Redmi 8 Renders

Just yesterday, we looked at some of the leaked renders of the Redmi Note 8 Pro and as fast as clockwork we now have the TENAA listings that reveal the details of another upcoming Xiaomi device, the Redmi 8. The phone looks like quite a significant upgrade over the Redmi 7 and 7A.

For starters, we see a new dew-drop notch design in the front that houses an 8MP Camera with a subtle Redmi branding on the bottom bezel. Towards the back, we see a complete design overhaul with what seems to be a glass back and a dual-camera setup. The primary camera will be powered by a 12 MP sensor but the complete specifications of the secondary camera are still unknown as of this point in time.

We will, however, be getting the same 720p display towards the front. Processor wise, we don’t have any information aside from the fact that an octa-core chip will be handling the computational duties. The Redmi 7 currently dominates the super-budget segment in India and the Redmi 8 seems to be built to dominate it for another year. This time around, the phone seems to have a unique design that will definitely win favour among fans.

You can count on the phone launching in China within the next few months and arriving on Indian shores a bit after that. Hopefully, Xiaomi launches this on Indian shores with a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor so that we don’t have to deal with the hassle of slow updates. As and when we get fresh leaks you can count on us to release them on the site. Stay tuned!
